North Carolina mediation training certified mediator service alternative dispute resolution

This civil trial court or commercial mediation training course is certified by the NC Dispute Resolution Commission under Rule 8 as the basis for certification as a Superior Court mediator. The certification as a Superior Court mediator is the basis for certification for all other mediation programs in the State and Federal courts in North Carolina.

More importantly, this training is simply the best training anywhere in the country for mediation in the trial court context or in the commercial, pre-litigation arena. Over 2000 lawyers and other professionals and business people have taken this course in the past ten years and can testify to their improved skills in mediation and negotiations. Among our alumni are insurance company claims representatives, corporate human resource personnel, psychiatrists, counselors, accountants, even surveyors, and many others who are interested in becoming accompished mediators or in perfecting their negotiation skills. If you would like to speak with our students from your area or from anywhere in North Carolina about their appraisal of our training, please contact Beth Adkins.

For those of you who have had prior mediation training, we suggest that this course will expand your horizons about the role, nature and application of mediation in every day life. Civil trial court mediation is often thought of as directive in nature. This course demonstrates that mediation does not have to be directive even when it's conducted in the content of civil litigation. In fact, we have contributed to the theory and practice of mediation by developing an expanded array of techniques and understandings that enable mediators to remain facilitative in the context of attorney-driven, money-dominated negotiations. Join us. We believe you'll learn a lot ... just as we have.
